Before the beginning of his career as a designer, Alexander McQueen become an apprentice as a tailor in Savile Row, the historic centre of British menswear tailoring, acquiring an exceptional technical ability in making the highest quality tailored suits. His productions incorporate this sartorial mastery with highly original designs that take inspiration from theatrical costumes, British history, art, from the world of military uniforms to traditional Japanese kimonos. In his women's collections there are animalier fabrics and leathers, traditional tartans, engineered laces and off course Skulls, the iconic symbol of the brand. Since 2010 the artistic direction of this British luxury label has been led by Sarah Burton who faithfully continues to present must-haves for a modern, strong, beautiful woman with a wild and rock soul.
